Hyaluronic Acid Fillers
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that naturally occurs in the skin, it binds with water molecules to give the skin a full and plumped appearance. As we age the amount of hyaluronic acid diminishes, which is one of the reasons we loose elasticity and tone.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are a cross linked form of the substance which forms a gel that can then be injected into the dermis to fill out deep lines and folds such as those that occur around the nose and mouth. The fillers are then metabolised by the body over a period of about 9-12 months so that the effects are not permanent.
The juvederm ultra range is the latest generation of hyaluronic acid fillers. It is the first of its kind to contain a built in anesthetic agent to make the aesthetic experience more comfortable then ever before.
